You know China with Autonomous region of Tibet, it shares border with 14 Different countries. As per the rules Government policies of 2024 you can entry China with 9 our neighbouring country with 15 land border crossing points.

To make it more simple for you we Thrust Adventure offers the Border Crossing services, for you, and your machine like, bikes, jeeps and RV to explore the wonders world with thrust and Nature.

FAQs Border Crossing Services:

Do we need carnet for Border Crossing Services?

The requirements of carnet for your bike, cars, or RV depends on the destination you are heading for with adventure and Thrust of you machine.

In Nepal and China, carnet is not mandatory. As Nepal follows different system called, Customs, Road Permit, Trip Permit papers. If you have Carnet, you can save since it cost 21 USD for bikes, 41 USA for Cars, jeeps and RVs. Similarly Tibet and China, follows the Invitations, Road Permits, and Deposit System with basis fees.

However if you are going, to Bhutan, Sri Lanka, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Russia, Vieatnam, Kyrgyzstan and beyond you need Carnet.

Can we make customized itinerary with our flexibility  days permit incase we need 1-2 days extra with the same price?

It is a 16-17 days road trip from Nepal to Kazakhstan border. Similarly takes 16-18 days to reach Kyrgyzstan.  However we can make the permits for 20 days, in case you have to spend your days to explore the cities or attractions. If you want to extend more, every extra day will cost you 130- 297 USD day without basis services.

Is there 2 guide ( Different in Tibet and Mainland China ), If so where they will change.

We can either use one guide for the entire trip or change the guide in Golmud. For the better experience we use only 1 guide who will incharge Tibet as well Mainland, no matter of any border, you are crossing next.

Can we hang out mountain bikes at the end of Jeep or any luggage box on the top?

Yes, you can hang out mountain bike ( Not Motorbike ) at the end of the Jeep as long as they are safely fastened. Similarly you can use hood top luggage box, not over 2 feet height.

Roughly how much will be Toll Cost  in this route from Gyirong t Kazakstan or Kyrgyzstan?

The approximately highway tolls costs are around 150-197 USD per car. However it depends on the route we take.

Should we need to be present at office of Vehicles Inspection?

Yes! Unless you book Luxury Drive Tour with Thrust Adventure. Normally you need to be present at the office of vehicle inspection( traffic bureau) in Shigatse to get a temporary Chinese driving license and vehicle license plate.

Do you help to do the Shipping our cars and bikes,  from Moscow or St. Petersburg to India, France, UK and USA? And How much it cost?

We do not done our own shipping services. However, we can assist on this in Moscow or St. Peterburg to send your thrust adventure machine to India, Sri Lanka, UK, France, Germany, UAA, Dubai. The Job will be handle by our subordinates, and local Russian agents or company who has more knowledge about these kinds of services.

Is this possible to drive Indian cars in Zhangye Danxia National Geopark aka rainbow mountain while we crossing the China towards Kyrgyzstan or Kazakstan?

Yes, it is possible to drive Indian cars to Zhangye Danxia Geo Park, many of our tours go through this park.

Can we use, Forex Card ( Credit Card USD ) at refueling or petrol stations?

Most of the shops, restaurants, hotels, petrol stations do not take foreign bank cards, you may have to pay Chinese Yuan cash or you can use WeChat Pay or Alipay if you can manage to get Alipay or We Chat Pay (Weixin Pay) prepared before entering China, it would be extremely easy and convenient if you could get it prepared.

Is there the fees if you use Credit Cards ? If so please mention the percentage or known rate?

As per now, there is no fee for using Credit Card if you can repay on time in reeled with you bank. However we would like to suggest you check with your bank and card system.

Is there Any National Park goes through our plan itinerary? If so please mention the Name with Dates accordingly?

We will make more details for your itinerary and send it to you with guide. Once you arrive Gyirong, guide will show you, and share the detail in short.

Can we bring the Mountain Bike to Everest Base Camp with Clean Bus that we can take the pictures with bike, if we use Border Crossing Services?

As per our experience and latest information from the drivers of Everest Base Camp, you can bring the Mountain Bike to EBC with you so you can photoshoot, as you like.

Can we use CNY in Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan?

I don’t suggest you to use CNY in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, as the rate is very low and some place it is hard to exchange. We would like to suggest you exchange for the local currency or USD in a bank when you arrive other countries as you move ahead.
