Our adventure leader and photographer comes with a new post, “Road to Lhasa Photo Blog. Mr. Saurav recently came back from the mega adventure, Road to Lhasa, also known as the India-Nepal-Tibet Self-Drive Expedition. Due to the complication of procedures and natural challenges, this India-China road trip is getting popular, and Thrust Adventure is the name for this overland journey.
Crossing over the mighty Himalayas and managing the chaos and thrilling border logistics, the torn road of Nepal, and the black-silk highway of China make this trip so special; only a few lucky people have experienced it so far.
The roof of the world is another name for Tibet. This title is achieved with thin air, as the average altitude of the region is 4380 m. Every day, we need to cross the high passes through the majestic Himalayas with hairpin turns and incredible slopes. Blue and pristine lakes elevated to the sky, traditional customs, ancient Buddhism practices, colorful prayer flags, and artistic monasteries make this Road to Lhasa the best overland adventure tour between Nepal as Road to Lhasa.

The way you described navigating torn roads in Nepal and the ‘black-silk highway’ in China really paints a vivid picture of the contrasts on this route. Did you find the high altitudes difficult to acclimate to, especially crossing those mountain passes daily?
